Handy Cam needed

My 62 yr old Aunt is going on another one of her vacation trips.
Till date she has used a normal Point and shoot 35mm camera.

She is now looking for a Digicam,coz now most people have them.I've managed to convince her to go in for a HANDYCAM instead.

Is it possible to get one upto 15K range?
  • Dont need high resolution...........Just enough to be seen on a NTSC/PAL Tv
  • Need Image stabilization....she is 62 and she's got the shakes
  • Preferable she shld be able to aim,and shoot......Not very tech savvy

I guess any entry level Handycam will do for her...so if anyone has any suggestions below 15k,please let me know before saturday
 
yeah .. budget is not enough .. you can check GVC everio series .. come with HDD .. can record 25hrs of video .. well .. if u say she is going for a trip and no place to download videos could be a problem. but DVD cam coders you need to keep few DVD in that case.

With the specification .. i guess you have to come up quite a lot in order to get the piece you looking for.
 
Yup The closest I could find in the 15k budget is the Sony CCD-TRV308 Hi8 Handycam.But Not buying it since its Hi8 tape based and thats obselete yesterday.

Will have to ask her to up the budget
