Handycam Help!! Very Urgent!!

Hey everyone.. I needed some urgent help regarding the purchase of a handycam...I need to know asap, bcoz i'm leaving this friday morning..so i can only buy one till thursday...

I needed a 720p or 1080p recording Handycam costing max Rs.30000,with a harddisk drive(in Mumbai). I did some research, and I found that there's a Samsung VP-HMX10A available for just Rs.16990, and it does 720p.But a dealer friend told me that samsung handycams are bad, and told me to buy a sony/canon handycam instead..

So if anyone can help me out, it would be great!!

leaving to where dude? If to US buy from US. IMHO you wont get decent HD cam in India. They are still maturing in US.

Actually i'm off to Singapore n Malaysia!! But still i'd really prefer it if someone could recommend a handycam which i could buy with the above specs before i leave..
