Handycam- wnhich one should I go for???

or you could consider dcr sr65e.. after all the discounts goin around thez days you should get it for 25k.. mrp is 27k!

How about digicam???? Someone was suggesting me ...... I am a bit confused now..Which one should I opt for???Handycam or digicam......

well most of digicams cannot focus that accurately and continously as a dedicated video camera,u will see the digital still camera stuggling to focus and on objects that are far in video mode and can record as long a camcorder particulary the HDD based ones,also a camcorder will have a longer zoom then a regular digital camera.

but mostly people take more still photos which is my case,and if i were u i would go for a digicam which has a long zoom,and some digital cameras can even shoot HD videos.
in digital cameras movie capability wise canon cameras like the S5is have good focusing ability better then sony and panasonic cameras(some panasonic cameras like FZ18 dont zoom while taking videos).
but in still photos panasonic cameras are better because they use leica lens which is the best out there.

but decide which is best for ur dad a video camera or a digital camera,u should know better then anyone here.

depends on your needs.. if its still opt for digicams if its vids opt for handycam!

also remm that all though both perform each others tasks but improperly as described by adder above.. so decide which is your dads need and then opt for it!

O/T: hey adder, are even panny camcorders equipped with leica lens?
