Happy Independence Day my fellow Indians!! A country run by an Italian should celebrate its independence day on the Italian Independence day, no?

That is akin to saying that the person is higher above than the country. By that Logic I shouldn't have even started the thread being in UK currently for my studies. Does that make me less Indian or deprive me of my rights to celebrate the Independence day :| Peace.
 
All the bars were open in Blore yesterday (at least all the ones I saw while coming by bus from Majestic to Yeshwantpur). Wasn't 15th supposed to be a dry day? Or is it like the bandh/hartals where shops open after the 6pm or so?
