Be careful dealing with Raghu.. he doesn't give bills along with the product . this guy is busy with his work, he will not attend to your warranty claims.

in my case, he didn't give any bills for the Hitachi hard drive I got and now the HDD is spoiled . I can't go in for any warranty :@
 
Lol broar. I told you to check the serial number online and give it for RMA. When did Hitachi start asking for the bill? And how do you want me to give the bill to you, since Im in madras now? You ask me when Im in Bangalore and then forget about it when I come here. Oh and please start a new thread if you want to discuss about this. This thread is only for the Dell monitors. And this time, Dell handles the warranty directly with the serial number. No need for the bill.

^^ indeed the HDD manufacturers know BETTER than asking for a bill. Anyone can get a phony bill.

Like Raghu said, HDD Manufacturers insist on the serial number on the HDD. And most of them have a service centre or a customer care number that u cud call and register the call. They'll direct you toward the replacement/service procedures.

Broar, its totally uncalled for to bring unrelated issues into this thread. Deleting the 3 posts in a while.

yeah have you checked online for it? it doesn't give any warranty status. some crap about Neo geo , return it to point of purchase, India.

yes ,you expect me to know your plans?!

I have even told you by chatting to send me the bill . you didn't give me a right answer . you should have done it then and there.

Well...if you dont drop me a message when Im online, how will I know the issue is still unresolved. When I didnt hear from you for long, I thought the issue has been solved.

And I dont expect you to know my plans. Just keep me informed that you need the bill and I will get it when I go home next. You know that I moved to Bangalore and that the bill is in my home in Madras. So how can I resolve the issue from Bangalore. I have never evaded your questions. Im now in Madras, how do I get the bill to you?

So, Hitachis phone support is not working. Did you email Hitachi about the issue? What was their reply? And Im not a dealer, I helped you get a hard disk as a fellow TE member/friend.

exactly! I've already mentioned that RMA service is not in India . they only service from dists/retailers end(was told by email from Hitachi)

I never knew that and you never told me that. Then you should be sending the HDD to me, correct? Im in Madras now. So if you want the bill from me, I will scan and send it. Will that be fine?

Can someone who has had a RMA with Hitachi HDDs confirm that they service through the vendor only?

Thats how it works, atleast here in Mumbai ... took me around 4-5 days to get the replacement from the dealer
 
Bill given to Saiyan. Said he couriers stuff to you regularly. So you will get it with the next shipment. Hope that settles things.

No point sending it to him, send it to me, i'll take it to delta when i go there sometimes:P
