Hard disk not visible after installing windows 7

Hello TE experts

I just installed a fresh copy of windows 7 ultimate 64 bit after I deleted ubuntu 12.04,created drive by straight away deleting the partition.. (i know it seems odd but read somewhere in forms how to uninstall ubuntu so did that.. as i was using dual boot the ubuntu was in my secondary drive(500+160gb) and ubuntu installed in 160 gb and 7 in 500gb...but after deleting ubuntu and and re-installing a fresh copy of windows 7 64 bit when I am accessing my computer the drive 160 gb is not visible.... and now i started the device manager and opened up disk management... then the drive 160 gb was showing it is not dynamic well i made it dynamic but still the problem persists and i dont want to lose my data neither do I have any external drive to backup my data so please someone help me to retrieve my 160 gb drive.... :hail:
 
See if the harddisk is present in the disk mgmt. I also encountered once, my drive partition was in ext type so windows didnt recognize it.

ya bro it is there in disk management and also showing healthy (System) but I can not access it no open explore option is coming...
 
What was the partition type of the 160gb drive before installing Win7?
I presume u have a live cd, use that and see if the drive is readable.

bro I had used windows 7 partition itself before installing ubuntu to separate 10 gb from that drive in order to install ubuntu in that drive and rest of the drive i used for downloading stuff.... but after deleting ubuntu I merged that ubuntu drive with my download drive and after that it I was not able to access the whole drive :( I know its my bad I should have formatted the ubuntu drive fully and then merge it with the other one.... what now is there no option to revive the drive as earlier?

hey bro yes it is readable when I am booting with live cd..... now please tell what shall I do?
 
One thing I can suggest you.Borrow an external hdd from someone, boot up your machine with the live disk and copy the data. Repartition the faulty drive in win 7 and copy it back.

bro that is the problem I have no one out here who can provide me external hard disk :( :( :( Bw thanks for helping...

bro thanks a lot for the help I really appreciate it :) .... now I think I shall try to borrow a hard disk only and copy the data and then format it and use it.... Bw where would I find an empty space of 160 Gb now :scared14: because if any error pops up and data gets lost I would surely die... LOL so much data to loose all new games,seasons,movies etc... cant afford to risk it... :(
