I have a sata hard disk, and of late it has started heating up a lot. Yesterday I got blue death screen and then when I restarted the comp, the initial dos screen stopped saying can't read from the disk. I turned off the comp and restarted the comp, again the hard drive heated up.

I changed the sata cable too, but the problem remains. It had happened a few days ago and I had then removed its power cable and sata cable and re-connected them again. The heating problem had stopped for two days after that. The problem has again resurfaced.
I wonder what can be the reason for this heating up
