Hi,
I am using the Idea Netsetter on the notebook Acer Aspire 4736z. Since I have the unlimited download plan, I keep the devices switched on the entire time and download data. Now, what happens is that after the devices remain idle for a certain amount of time, the light on the NetSetter stops glowing and the internet activity goes down.
At the notebook's end, the network icon next to the windows clock still shows network connectivity although there is none. I try to do the "Safely Remove Hardware" but it does not happen. Now, the main issue I am concerned about is that even when I try to shutdown the notebook, it stops at the "Shutting Down" screen and remains like that forever. I have to force shutdown the notebook by keeping the power key pressed.
To prevent all of this, I have tried the following:
1. In the power options, I have kept the USB Selective Suspend to Disabled.
2. In the Device Manager, for all the USB Root Hub devices, at the Power Management tab, I have unchecked the "Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power.
3. I have done the same as the above for Modems-->HUAWEI Mobile Connect - 3G Modem in the device manager.
I don't know what else should I do to prevent this. Please provide a solution to this problem

It shows up "Ping request could not find host yahoo. Please check the name and try again."

But, how would ping help? The internet goes down for sure when this happens. It is just that the network icon does not show it.
