Graphic Cards Has any 6950 owner tried this --- AMD Radeon HD 6950 can be unlocked to HD 6970

I thought the VAT amounts were the same for all the stuff? Friend had gotten a FiiO E7 from his site yesterday and though it was listed at 3950 INR, the final price came to 4443.75 INR w/o shipping. I assumed the 12.5% VAT was the same for all the components.

Shit those stuffs are too costly guys,i have canceled the order, so guys give me some recommendations please which company to take????

1. RMA process should be easier, am staying in Bangalore, So RMA wont bre a big probs i think soo..

2. Card should hold on to overclocking without any issues....

3. I have selected PowerColor Cards as the retailers told me RMA will be way much easier than any other company and also its cheap than any other Company, but i dono abt the built Quality

So please suggest me a good company to go on as the card price is high my mom will kick me if something goes wrong

if u r thinking to buy a HD6950 till feb or march then i think in feb u will get a pure HD6950 which wont b unlockable... So IMO buy ASAP...

The difference btw a stock 6950 and 6970 is like 10-20% or so.

So a modded plus oced 6970 should be nearly equal a 6970 oced.

It should be as its the reference design and as posted by Gannu in the sale thread, all HIS cards tested by TechPowerup unlocked successfully to the 6970
