Well when i bought my kingston ddr 2 ram it was offering 5 years warranty...
But now when i see deltapage site it states kingston offers 3 years warranty

I m unable to to get the catch????

IDK, my Kingston 2GB kit states 5 Year warranty very clearly (actually it states lifetime warranty which means 5 years).

Edit : My Kingston Pen drive and a newly bought CF card also state 5 years.

Warranty which is being offered for the ram depends on the dealer (atleast in chennai afaik), here delta is offering 3 yrs warranty.

One incidence with me:

I bought SMPS for my friend, after enquiring with 3 dealer one give me Rs.50/- low quote than others, when open it at friends house we find that on product the signature (for warranty) is 1 month old, nearly 35 days warranty lapsed, I called dealer for same, he replies Rs.50/- less because the product is lying with him from 1 month and warranty is started from the day he bought. (He is not honest to clear it prior to deal)

So may be (due to above reason) delta offer Low price with reducing warranty.

All the dealer in chennai offer only 3 years warranty for kingston ram. Thing is that, these dealers take care of the warranty them selves, if the ram is screwed up, i have to give it back to the dealer and get it replaced (which acc. to me faster, 2 or 3 days or a week at the max). Wheras for pen drive the warranty is provided by accel (same company which take care of warranty for seagate) and its 5 years.

In chennai even for the corsair Ram, 3 years warranty only.

Guys..i have a question about kingston DDR2 667 ram sticks..I bought a 1gb Kingston ddr2 667 card in december last year...i'm gonna purchase another 1 gb card of the same make...will thr be any change in the product model even if it states the same Kingston 1gb ddr2 667?? More importantly shud i be bothered whether it'll match or not??

^Ya..just checked with the kingston site and they still make the module with the same model number..ie. KVR667D2N5/1G....Lol..actually its the case of "once bitten, twice shy"...:P Happened with me with my older system with 2 transcend ram modules...so was a bit doubtful..:P
