Hathway - Ping Woes...

Check out Hathways "SEXY" Routing...
Internal that is.. It explains my high pings.. PIECE OF SHIT!

What to do damnit.. sent a mail to Hathway.. Hope they "Understand" the problem.
All gawtis they are more than anything.

Is there anything i could do to make sure they correct this?
How can i be sure. Coz of right now.. I dont trust em to do anything.
And suprisingly this ROuting is so bad only at night. If you notic the 2nd and the 3rd IP. They are Hathway's itself. And see the Internal ping going over 300.
I dunno what gives.
In the day its normal. Just @ Night.
Normally @ night i used to get even lower pings on SG servers. (60 ms) Daytime was (100 ms)
This 300 ms @ Night is really giving me a headache. As i used to love playing @ night with 60-70 ms.

How can i tackle this problem?

u need to know some1 incharge there who can change settings on the server i.e routing. if u are just going to talk to the person who picks up the phone its pointless.

go play on lan otherwise. lol

The problem is Routing.

Intel Hathway Routing infact.

Its fully freaked out. 300ms on the 3rd Hop.

Right now it was fine....

My net is just freaky...

Frankly I have not the slightest clue about all this... but I followed your example on my Hathway 256kbps conx and here is my MORNING results ... I will do it at night too and put up those results later... in the meanwhile how do my MORNING results look ?? Are they sexy or what ?? :D

Well, rigth now, and even after 2am everything is fine.

But nighttime like 10 - 2am its fully freaked out as if the full hathway line is clogged up. Maybe their offering more bandwidht to ppl than they have.

Hmmmm... I live at Churchgate - opp the KC / HR Colleges and this area would probably have more business accounts for Hathway ... here only the period of 3pm - 6 pm are bad times to get good speeds on Hathways BB. At night things fly when I surf or download - probably because all offices around here are closed.

Where are u located ?

As per what you said, the Download speeds are fine really. Except Torrents are f****d.

Just the Routing.. Thus the ping.. and where can i play source in india anyways.

Infact to any server i get 300ms atleast, due to Hathways pathetic Internal Routing.

Lets see what happens tonight...
 
Makes sense...
Breach Candy = residense area - bad at night - good during day
Churchgate = business area - good at night - bad during day

right now it is the max slowing of speeds on my conx - taking ages to open any page - and here is the tracert results... what do the *'s indicate ? I get 6 STAR service from Hathway :D

You guys are getting quite high pings to your gateway servers, ideally it should be under 1ms. And I kept complaining to my ISP that 5ms was way too high....
 
Hathway sucks dude.

Stupid Copper Wires... Whadda you expect?

Overrall Pings to Sg are better than anythnig else except Igate and Exatt i think.

Ive been thinking of Shifting to Exatt since long.. Lets see if this doesnt get fixed.. looks like i will have to do so..

Right now.. All looks fine... 7.45 pm..

Now its all fine again... 12.20 AM... 12.18 AM it was ****ed.. lol...

herz my crappy 7 star isp that offers good pings where u dont need em,caps game ports,offers crappy speeds at ultra high prices

I am using airtel 256kbs line

does it show that my connection is very poor or what, as far i know ping is how much time it take to route connection.
