hehe...funny how they are charging 1000/- pm for 64/256 2GB in Liteway2 and the very next plan says 64/256 unltd for 995/- pm....
What gives...
@Eazy, just check the reliability of their connection from someone who uses it in your area.....I had to leave Hathway because of their poor service quality and rather frequent downtimes...but this was in chennai and the bombay service quality may be better...
BTW needless to say, there is no service level agreement or guarantee.....

I think Hathway have branches all over town to look after their business from different parts of town - I spoke to people at their Nariman Point office who look after my area .... here is thier details... speak to them and check for the contact for your area...

Hathway has been very good for me. At the moment I use their 256kbps 995/- account.
well frm this month i m going bak to old plan....night 8-8..........i thght by nov hathway will come with some schemes...but they reduced the installation reg charges but no favour for us......also it will do airtel trick....will upgrade user to 512kbps...may b next yr.......but wont reduce cost....and i guess now 1.1k is damn mor...than 8-8 plan also we get full sunday too

Well, my friend has an Airtel 256 Kbps Unltd plan and I've an A/C n filelist.org which is registered torrent site where they track ur uploads as well. My A/C UL/DL ratio has increased dramatically after my friend started using my A/C. To conclude, the upload speeds are always higher in BitComet for us than D/L speeds. D/L run at 25~26 while upload also runs at 25~28 Kbps.
Talking about compariosn between indian isp's....256 down and 64 up with unlm for 995 is better than 256 down and 64 up with capped limits for 995 with both Sify and BSNL handout....of course the real BB is yet to arrive in India.anand said:

BSNL is helpless. They can't provide bandwidth to you because they don't have it themselves. The government did a big goof up by selling VSNL to Tata. Now Tata are charging high rates for providing bandwidth. Their rates are among the highest in the world. So, from next time rather than blaming BSNL/MTNL blame Mr. Ratan Tata. That greedy SOB.
Well, Hathway is 256 kbps just on paper. In reality, max speed is like 220 and that too even in the night. During the day, max speed is like 150-160.
As Dayanidhi Maran once said in his interview to Outlook Magazine in February 2005,"First you sell off your foreign arm and now you beg for bandwidth".
Not all people want unlimited plans like you. i know many people in quite a few places who are ok with 1 GB bandwidth or 3 Gb(i think) if you take the business plan.
