Hi frnz i have few problems that i need 2 resolve

*I am not a Pro into hardware*

1)My old pc does not start whn i power on the fan spins and then stops...i figured out a solution i need to remove the CMOS battrey and put it again and the PC starts ...................

does it mean i need to buy a new cmos battrey ? where will i get it ?

2)I am going for a new PC . as Phoenix said to go for IP-35E board i may get that !! how is that board ? .... any personal experiences ?

3)which ram is better ?

a)3*1GB Transcend 800Mhz = 3450/- (each is around 1150)

b)4*1GB Transcend 667Mhz = 3700/- (each is around 925)

c)2*1GB G-Skill 800Mhz = 3900/- (each is around 1800)

The other specs are :

c2d E6550 = 7000/- (1K cheaper than E6750)

MSI 8800GT KO = 15000/-

Mx-518 = ????/-

Cooler Master 600W = 3600/-

Cabinet = any in the range of 1000 - 1300.

OS : vista ULTIMATE

stuff i already have :

-15"sync master LCD ~ gettin a BenQ 17" for free as exchange from my brother :bleh:

-logitech keyboard

-Altec Lansing ATP-3

-380GB hard disk (300+80)

-Sony DVD-RW

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Suggestion Appreciated !:hap2:

BUDGET is a bit tight as fully hard earned money .... dad is not ready to LEND :(

LOL !

stick with 2 or 3gb 800MhZ ram , since i think you'll be getting a 32-bit OS , it wont take up more than 3.25GB.....I wud take Transcend , but let the others recommend you that....If you can , skip on the MX5128 a bit and go with the E6750 for now , coz thats a major priority item , the mouse can be bought later....

For the 8800GT luk in my MSI 8800GT OC deal .....ull like it i guess....same goes for the IP35-E......gurus please correct my suggestions if you think i went wrong sumwhere....

cheers

as for the first prob , what did u do ? did u put the same cmos battery in or did u replace it with somethin else ??

no i put the same CMOS battrey and it WORKED !! but i gotta do this everytime..... i cannot sell my PC in this condition

DETAIL PROBLEM :

When i power the PC

The fan spins for like 5 seconds and stops

but the board light is on

so i just remove the CMOS and put it back again

and power it again

and it starts !!!!

but

i need to change the BIOS settings again ie the date time and boot device !

^^ get the new cmos battery :P

why not get new rig you can get g-skill 2x1 gb drr2 800 mhs

and e6750 also some extra mo p35 ;)

get 2gb or 2x2 coz if u use dual dual channel

then command rate changes and impact is worse than running single channel

i think 2x1gb in tight timing 800@4-4-4 will be nice

also even p35-e is good oc er

so get cheap proccy and oc a lot

but make sure abt latter stepping

The main thing here is are you going to OC it if yes then go for the G-skill or pick up transcend.tight timing is always a good thing. soo if your buying a PC for OCing then pick up these stuffs otherwise stick to some decent stock hardware.

Abit P35 is a good mobo if u want or may also try out the new C2D mobo that phoenix got in. its cheap and decent specs should be good for non-OC rig i think(i say it again "I Think")
