dude i think IEXPLORE.exe is a worm as it is not the normal iexplore.exe....

check this out... "Added by the RBOT-EZ WORM! Note - this is not the legitimate Internet Explorer iexplore.exe process which is always located in the Program FilesInternet Explorer folder and should not normally figure in Msconfig/Startup! This file is located in the System (9x/Me) or System32 (NT/2K/XP) folder"

do an online scan to confirm....

yes look at your msconfig startup data. if it is there then its a worm otherwise its normal.

its not there in my msconfig ...and i think its coz i had IE running while saving the log file.

thanks guys.

@ trajan : capital IEXPLORE.EXE is the same as iexplore.exe in windows xp home and pro with sp1 it mentions as capital letters so its normal imo.

@mohit : do you have any specific symptoms which sugest some infection by virus / malware/ spyware / trojan?

i recommend scanning by adaware personal and spybot s and d

also sometimes corrupt IE will cause problems so try to repair from control panel.

waiting for an update from you side/

hmmm someone (maybe my computer accountant) was surfing pron on this pc so i jst got a lil paranoid. anyways pc works fine with nuthing wrong ..jst wanted to be sure ... will scan with those tools in sometime anyways.
