For the past few weeks have been having this weird and annoying trouble downloading those small kb sized .torrent files from torrent websites. It forever stuck on those downloading screens. Those torrent files that i do manage to download, load without any issues on my torrent download sw(utorrent) and no issues there. It's only gettin those torrent files off the websites , where i am facing this weird problem.

Also check if there is an option to download them as .txt files. Some ISP's may block .torrent files from being downloaded. Ofcouse after downloading them you change the file extension form .txt to .torrent

try a different browser. Also clear the browsing history, cache and temporary files.

Report back if this fixes your issue

That's a nice suggestion.Never knew that.Unfortunately pirate bay doesn't have that option. the above mentioned option doesn't happen daily but most of the time.there are days when i am able to download them but only for a few downloads, after that get the same downloading screen!

does utorrent runs in background while you download .torrent file from the browser?

if yes then try pausing it & then download and see if the problem persists.. :)

No. I even tried it with other browsers --- opera,IE,chrome..still the same issue. It's not just TBH.

if its tpb, then the problem is from their end.

It happens with every torrent site. Anybody else faced similar problem ?

Anyway tried evrthin. Still having issues...So now i have to download torrent files from my office and bring them home

Try this...

1. Install some kind of download manager like FDM.

2. Open torrent website and try to download the .torrent file as you normally do.

3. Now since FDM is running it will detect the download and offer you to download using its manager. Use this instead of your browser's default manager / download utility for the same.

4. Be reminded that FDM has an integrated torrent client so when it offers to start the torrent (after downloading the .torrent file) cancel it and open the same in your usual torrent client like Utorrent.

This sometimes happen when downloading the torrent directly onto the client using Firefox. Try first downloading to somewhere like Desktop & then opening with your client.

OR use Utorrent "Add torrent from URL" option to download the torrent.
