Guys,
i want recommendation for internal hard disk for to install OS ( win7 x64).
  1. are WD green any good for this purpose ?
  2. is the SATA 6Gb/s better then SSD ?

Want to spend the lest possible money (<3K) , so probably no SSD. Size doesn't matter, main focus is on performance.

in generic im looking for :-
SATA 6.0 Gbps Interface
64 MB Cache Memory
7200+ RPM

im open to buying used also, pm if you have anything unused .

Try to get WD Blue or Seagate 7200 drives like barrcuda series as WD Black out of your budget. and most hard disks are not able to saturate 3gb/s bandwidth let alone 6gb/s.

I would like to say stay away from WD Green for OS drive. Best bet for you is either a 7200 rpm HDD or if you are not using many apps/software then try finding a 64GB SSD like this. SSD gives far better performance then any 7200 rpm drive.
