HD Media player/NAS combo???

I need a HD media player which can double up as NAS i.e. allow me to transfer files to and from it using both Network and USB. Should support 3.5inch HDD as I intend to use my 2TB and 1TB HDD with it. Should support Bit Torrent and FTP. My budget is 10-15K. Now shoot folks.

iOmega Screen Play Director supports torrent download & has 1 TB HDD

O!Play HDP-R1 supports torrent & NAS with moServices, But no HDD.
 
From what I have found, HiMedia has no Bit Torrent support and no review lists the same for Asus's O Play line up.

AC Ryan's PlayOn HD2 seems the best bet. Now availability is gonna b an issue here with KMD not in picture.

O!Play HDP-R1 has eSata/USB combo port, if your external 3.5 have eSata, you can easily connect it.

Reviews shows HiMedia having firmware issues, and only lynx-india is the distributor in India, will costs more than ASUS one.

If you see the link I provided in last post, it clearly states about the Bit-torrent support. its the latest model.

My intended usage scenario is as below so suggest something according to it.

The storage device will connect to my laptop in my hostel which will be running DC client and download stuff. It will be stored in the drive and when I come home, I would connect the drive/device to my LCD and view the movies and also be able to connect it to my speakers (5.1) to play music.

Now I presume for this purpose a Media player with built in drive would do the job. If this is the case then please suggest me one within the budget of 10K-15K.

The one I am speaking about, fits the bill and is cheaper than your budget.!
 
^ But that's a "Chinese" item and whilst I've "trust" issues with Chinese products, what about warranty? Who will cover it here?

Lol! never thought of that...But i's pretty good. And I am not really into the whole warranty thing...
For that price you can get the Playon HD 2 devices for sure.
 
Playon HD /HD2 is a full blown media player with inbuilt slot for a 3.5" HDD. it suits your reqmt and is available in India with warranty. i have been using Playon Hd for over a year now and still believe it is the best in its price class !
 
Who is the retailer of PlayOn HD/HD2 in India? Does this comes as a barebone media player or has some amount of storage with it?
