This is a one day old Seagate 7200.12 ST31000528AS 1TB hdd , This is a OS drive ( xp installed ) and there are no partitions .
I ran HD Tune pro benchmark twice , results

The graph in both results look weird , is this happening because this is a os drive , or is there anything wrong with this drive?

How many attempts of benchmark? take average of five. Dips in the graph could be due to running applications, bug in HDDtune and other factors like loose data cable. You can also try HD tach, Seatools as a second opinion. Find below results of HDDtune and HD tach in XP/WIN7 OS (Four month old 1TB Seagate 7200. 12)

 
There are no applications running when i run these tests, it was a fresh os install, i have just installed firefox & 3-4 benchmark/ monitoring software so far, there is no antivirus/firewall installed. Seatools passed smart & short dst test. the drives are in ide mode
