Try using another sata cable and see if it prompts same warning. If it goes then no need to worry but if it doesnt then download seatools and run the tests to verify any real errors on the disk But being a dma error you shouldnt risk your disk and immediately apply for an rma.

so i plonked out a samsung spinpoint drive 500gb from a verbatim casing after a year of giving up on the drive.
i plug out the drive, unscrew and connect it to a spare adapter circuit board for connecting as a usb drive on a windows 7 system
please note reading and writing on this drive was a pain and speeds were around 1Mb/s which is why i haven't used the drive for some time.
i copy a few files (write test) for the heck of it ( 2gb) and and surprised with speeds of 25-28Mbps, i copy the files back again ( read test) and get the same speeds.
i download hdtune pro and run some tests :
in short, i just want to know, the HDD seems to be fine, its just the external cases' circuit that's messed up.
