HDMI and PS3 problem

Guys I was playing KZ3 on my PS3 and then I paused it for like 40 to 45 mins and switched to DVI to watch TV for some time but when I switched back to HDMI im not getting any video.Things I've tried till now -

1. Restarted PS3 and Monitor (thrice)
2. Switched ports (tried putting PS3 cable into monitor's port and vise versa but no luck)
3. Tried to reset video settings by pressing power button for 10 secs.

I don't think cable is at fault here because monitor is detecting the cable and as monitor is detecting cable im assuming that monitor's port is also fine and ya when PS3 is on and im on HDMI mode monitor's not responding i.e. im not able to open monitor's menu or adjust brightness or contrast or switch to any other mode.

I don't know the exact problem and what else should I try.Please suggest me something.

Monitor - Dell S2409W
Console - PS3 Slim 320GB

^Happened with Samsung for me . I think this happens while the ps3 is connected with monitors, but dont know why. :S
 
Nope it happened with my 360 too so Consoles dont like monitors only Huge High Def TV
 
Problem is with pausing the game for a longer time. Allwyn faced the same issue and so did the OP.
 
There shouldn't be an issue while pausing the game for prolonged duration. There have been times when I have paused it for around half an hour and nothing like this ever occured. There has to be something more specific which triggers this event. I haven't experienced this for my 360 yet. It's an odd phenomenon.
