Looking for an HDMI ARC audio extractor for use with my TV that doesn't have a 3.5 mm jack.

What do you want to attach the tv to? Most soundbars and AV receivers have an Optical In. The TV should have an Optical Out unless it's some super obscure model.

I have an old Altec 2.1 that has no optical connectivity. I currently have a Bluetooth receiver hooked up to it and I use it to connect to my TV. However, most of the time the receiver doesn't connect automatically when I turn on my TV. I am also on the lookout for a decent soundbar with HDMI in. I do not want to go the optical route to connect to my TV as I wont be able to control speaker volume using the TV remote.
