HDMI Cable Help

Hey guys,

I need some help from AV Masters in TE. :)

I am buying a Samsung Series 4 32" and a Sony DZ270 Home Theater. The demos are all using composite cables.

1. Does normal 700MB avi's look any better on a HDMI?
2. Does DVD's look better on HDMI connection?
3. Is the audio quality better using HDMI?

I won't be using it for any source of high definition though.

Can anyone also tell me how much would a HDMI cable cost in Bangalore. I don't want costly options like Sony(Rs. 2000).

No, I dont think there will be any difference on component wire or hdmi

Yes ofcourse !

3. Is the audio quality better using HDMI?

Cant say, I rather use HDMI just for video purposes...

HDMI uses digital output, so its more or less loseless rather than old analog signals..

New Samsung DVD players of 5k having HDMI !

well u can checkout croma there are lots of cables available there.also u can try in sp road.
rather buying a sony HT buy a onkyo HT SR-600 costs 19900 and get a Sony DVP NS78P DVD player u get a free HDMI cable as well.the sony speakers found in HT are crap and dont believe in those RMS ratings .

even a logitech Z5500 will be better then those sony HT.

Thanks for the replies but i am short on cash, so i won't be able to go for a full fledged home theater setup.
Isn't 1 HDMI cable sufficient for both video and audio signals from Home Theater to LCD TV?
 
well yes since u are buying that sony HT u will just have to connect one HDMI cable from the sony dvd/amp to ur LCD.
