Go for Sennheiser HD202 for 1500/-, good solid cans for low end audiophiles.
Can also look at Philips SHP 805 if you can manage to find this elusive piece anywhere. Costs <1200/-.

if HD 201 is available..dont get HD 202 ...HD 201 > HD 202...
but a better option would be philips SHP2700 or HP 805 ..trust me ..HP 805 is kinda cheap.. but the sound quality is too good, same with SHp2700, hp 805 is a bit hard to find these days though!

+1 for HD202 though it is not for a bass enthusiastic at all, way too weak bass. :no:
I heard an I-ball Rs. 1100 headphone which was meant for DJ's it was cheap price and looks wise but the sound was gud for the price don't know how much would that last. Try hearing that too.

or its better to go with shp2700
