headphone upgrade from sennheiser HD202

hey guys,
i have been using sennheiser hd 202 for a while now, i have been looking around to upgrade these to a better sounding pair of headphones, would like to restrict the damage to 5-6k , craving for some musical bliss :D
i would listen to music primarily(trance,lounge), consider no movies :bleh:

listing down some of the good pairs i have been reading about,rest you guys can suggest me anything under the sun :)

Beyerdynamic DT770
Denon D1001
Audio Technica (pairs under 5-6k)
M-Audio
Sennheiser DJ and audiophile headphone range
skullcandy
koss
shure
akg

etc....

I moved from HD202 to an AD700 and am pretty satisfied. Its good for everything from Music to Movies to Games. But yeah if specifically looking for Music then maybe the BD might be slightly better.....
 
Ok sorry saurabh for asking a question in ur help thread but may i please know from where are u planning to buy the headphones.. Coz I am not able to find the places which offer good price..

i guess sennheisers wont b problem as all electronics shop these days have sennheiser stuff!!!
about others m not sure, though i would try to approach KMD, for me KMD would be the last hope if i want to order from outside india coz got no friend coming from US in next couple of months:@ , in case you get any pointers do lemme know, i am based in bangalore.
 
Sennheiser 205, I use it in my mixes, and has a right cup that can be rotated away from the ear, so you can listen to the outside music too :D

ah!! dats an intresting choice, but was wondering if it has a major audio upgrade when compared to H202, are they way much better than HD202 in terms of there audio quality?
 
They are good enough for Mixing and stuff, so maybe, guess it will be down to individual preference.

Cant help much in that.
