Audio Headphones upto Rs. 650

AMG

Skilled
Budget: Rs. 650 (Non-extendable)

A long cord, if possible.

Looking at:
SoundMagic PL13
SoundMagic ES18 (Though dont like it much due to the coloured cord. Way too flashy for me)
SoundMagic ES10
Skullcandy S2DUDZ-042
Creative EP600 (Aesthetics wise, my favourite)
Philips SHE 3500
Philips SHE 3570
Philips SHE 3590

NO JVC Marshmallows please

The cable is too flashy.

Flashy OR not it is the best option in your highly constricted budget.

I would have recommended the JVC Marshmallows but the cable is much to short for my liking. Also, overall sound quality and performance is stilted in favour of the ES18.

I cant imagine going around with a red string hanging out, and people staring at me.

People stare at me for wearing jet black VSONIC GR 02 / BRAINWAVZ M1's in public buses and the Metro, I have got used to it.

In the given Budget ES18 is the best even within 1K it is the best( at least among locally available IEM's) .........then go for those Phillips it probably the 2nd best also available in much acceptable white/black/blue colors
really y is color a factor for a IEM is beyond me........i have a red ES18 and i do not find ppl staring at me coz of that.......it also does not look that cheap or ridiculous

Okay!

I had a shot at various IEMs(the ones in which the silicone bud/whatever it is goes in your ear thereby blocking air supply), and they give me a kind of headache, which I never got while using my old type sony earphone in which the bud stays on the ear (Basically what Flipkart calls "ear bud").

So in light of the changed circumstances, I've shortlisted the following

http://www.flipkart.com/philips-shh...ZG3K&ref=5d0c3188-ee01-4b5a-a8ae-bec2bbb9b8e7 (unsure about these, as the can design looks awkward)

go to rediff shopping
some sellers are selling oem models at 70-80% discounts.

now i have no idea whether they are real or not but they are worth a bet at least,if not thenthere is always the return policy.

on rs 650 though, just put 200 more and get panasonic buds that go for 800 rs(forgot the model number)
if u hate silicone buds then check out the cowon em1 at 1000 rs or sennheiser mx 170 at 450.
i had these 6-7 years ago when i started buying earphones(my first) and i loved them then
