Guys,

I am having Gigabyte 880GM USB3 mobo and I need heatsink for the VRM's. Please suggest which one to get and from where.

Regards,

Chirag

Look for this:

Enzotech MOS-C1 Forged Copper Mosfet Heatsinks - Multi-Pack (10 pcs)

Or if you want to try aluminium then this:

Aluminum Alloy Chipset Heatsinks for PC Memory Chips (8-HSK Set) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme

I have used both the sets and found the copper ones to be extremly good at dissipating heat. The alu ones are cheap and work ok ish. Remember that these sinks tend to fall off sometimes as the sticker is not great. So try and make sure you use something to hold it in place.

I dont think I have seen any heatsinks with an indian dealer...not of this type...you may be able to get it in your local metal market.

Another vote for the Enzotechs.I remember using their BGA sinks for my 4870 and they were still firmly attached when I removed them to revert to stock cooler a couple of years later

You should be able to find them off ebay.com

Any cost of importing those?? Must be negligible anyways.... Do they have a good thermal tape? or should I buy one separately?

Not sure about current costs. The ones I got had thermal tape preinstalled on the heatsinks just had to peel and stick them on

Lemme know what are your plans, Chirag. If you plan to get one of these, would be interested too.

Also if possible, make it a GO, as other might also want them.

chirag, i could give you the DX ones at cost. have them lying around.

i just bought a MA880GM-USB3L for a friend, why do you need the HSs ?

^^ Thanks lot sire... Actually I game a lot, so thought of adding a cooling solution to my VRM's... Please let me know if you can sell them :)

Would definitely let you know brotha... Lets see if Poboy Sire has enough number of HS's so that we can share them :)

Thermal pads are easily available, but again abroad. if you have a paypal account, its not very expensive. Try Ek waterblocks site for them.

Thanks mate, i found thermal pads, there are sold for 1.99 euro (Rs. 137.33), but their minimum purchase price is 10 euro and shipping will be 5.14 euro (Rs. 354.72)

Thermal pads are very much available in India as well.
I remember asking 3M India, where to buy them, and they ended up sending me some samples.

amarbir has them. has bought akasa thermal pads from him. We ve to cut it as per our need. Not a vfm choice though. Also has seen copper mosfet cooling heatsinks in nos of 8 in his site.
