Heavy Rain Original-- Move patch help

I just got the heavy rain original disk(bought a new one). Now, sony released a patch for enabling move capabilities in heavy rain. Now if I want to download the heavy rain patch, I need to connect to the internet through the ps3, right? I am currently on 3.41 and I dont want to upgrade my firmware. So is there any way to download the patch without effecting my firmware. Your help will be much appreciated.

Those of you with copies of Heavy Rain will be able to download a patch from this morning enhancing the game with PlayStation Move controller support. The patch is free and should start downloading the moment you run the game when connected to the PlayStation Network. It weighs in at 1142MB.

You have to update FW to latest one if you wanna download HR Move patch and you have to download it through PS3 only....
 
^^Thanks!:) Will be taking further advice from the ps3 jailbroken thread as now I need to compulsorily update and you keep that thread updated, so I dont think there is need of this thread for further steps to be taken.
 
^ I didnt try it, because if it doesnt work, I will be left with a open disk. Presently it is new and sealed. I am selling it. I opened a for sale thread yesterday. I also updated this in the ps3 jailbroken thread. Thank you for asking!
 
It worked! I got fed up of waiting for buyers and decided to take the plunge. I got it to work without any firmware update. I downloaded the patch from psxstore and installed it as a pkg. It will not work without the original disk though. Enjoying Heavy Rain with Move goodness!:)
