Lost electricity for around 2 hours (roughly) in Lokhand, as far as the rains go, not too harsh.
Even though it was raining all night on the 29th and all day & evening on the 30th, there was barely any flooding in Lokhandwala and 4 Bungalows area, not sure about further out though.

No power from 12 - 7:30ish here in Vashi. Some 3ft of water I'm guessing. Pretty cool and pleasant day though. Spent the day listening to music, taking some snaps and reading magazines with multiple sessions of tea and snacks obviously. All of this looking out of the window watching people go by and some dogs running around on the footpath who seemed pretty damn puzzled by all the chaos

^^Hehe..We had no power cuts here either, in kharghar....only my fcukin net was down since yesterday noon..
till last year i used to stay near St. Mary convent school,Byculla n thr was no water logging there even on 26th july 05...just shifted to a new house in kharghar..this place is quiet high..there is water logging problem here..
Btw, was watching the news in the wee hours today...Mr. Bachchan's home, Jalsa(or whatever it is called)in juhu is too in knee deep waters... he had to move to his other home...Lol..the wrath of the rain god doesnt spare anyone....:lol:

there was no power from 11.30 am to 10.30 pm here. abt 3ft of water here in my building compound and around 2 ft on the roads.
the municipalty had constructed drains but their openings are abt 1/2 ft abv road level. so most of the water is flowing on the road. dont have a camera. the pic would have looked like its vatican city, only instead no boats and the houses are sort of rain soaked
edit: it has stopped raining here from abt 7 in the morning.

Well, guess what, more coulds coming this way. As I type this its starting to pour once again. I think we are in for another watterlogged day ahead today.
So I did also postpone the Mumbai meet.

Thrs one more sleepin monster waiting for the right time...mithi river.... As of now, everything seems fine..:lol: didnt hear anything about it in news yesterday..but given the kind of havoc it caused on 26th july 05.. it may only be some time b4 its floods the low lying areas on its banks again..........:no:
