good because this is a vaild questions ask them outgoing msg and other services get blocked if u cross credit limit than how 3300 crossed in 10k lol
 
I would suggest use more and more and make it 20k.. then easily switch to new number.. no worries.. they can't do anything.. screw them..

This is the conversation i had with CC, I called them up because i wanted to activate blackberry services as i got a bold 3 yesterday :)

Me: Hi, I would like to activate BB services on my mobile.

CC: Sure. Sir, which plan would you like to take?

Me: I want the 299 monthly plan.

CC: Sir, why dont you go with the 599 plan?

Me: Why should I?

CC: Sir, as our system shows, you have a lot of usage.

Me: Really? How?

CC: Well you bill is 9897 for this month.

Me: come again.

CC: sir, 9897.

Me: WTF!!! *F U!*
 
I had a similar issue with Airtel ,i had disconnected all my services before leaving India ,got a call from dad after about 7 months that Airtel was pestering to pay 15K charges for the usage .I had called them all the way from NZ and bashed them that i have left the country and how can i use it ,their instant reply was saar you used International Roaming ( which was a lie ,i did not even activate it) in the US .I told them m0r0ns atleast learn how to lie i did not even step into US and still i used the phone in US.

I got a court notice when i came to India in April 2010 which i tore the next instant :P.

Airtel is run by bunch of lairs and @$$0les.
 
@OP : are you using GPRS or 3G services by any chance? Please remember that if you're using any service in a scheme (like for example, the airtel 2gb for 98 rs plan), the amount will keep accumulating and will show as an unbilled amount. My 'unbilled' amount comes to 5 or 6K in the GPRS section by the end of the month. Once the regular bill is generated, the amount is placed in discount ( i.e discounts -5000 rupees), and I get the 'normal' usage amount. Please do confirm with customer care and check your final billed amount.

i also use failtel since long time like op.

my experience is they are very adamant and you must escalate it higher up.

also they will stop your outgoing and gprs facility saying you crossed your credit limit.

best way out is go to failtel gallery,

say you want to close this mobile connection,

so they will generate your bill and their in itemised bill,

get it sorted out if you can.

or else just junk the sim card.

you have already escalated so you are safe.

and give it flush down.

this is most likely scenario for op.
 
The bill finally came to my place, Rs.10911/-.

I have already registered a complain, but no response.

The bill is because of GPRS usage, Rs.9400 is the GPRS usage.

I swear i never used GPRS..Its been activated on for phone since 6 months and it never crossed more than Rs20.

I told them the same, but they are saying that " sir, aapne use kiya hoga".

As mentioned before, i checked my bill the day i got a BB, sold the old E71(never thought such a thing would happen). So, im without proof.

What should i do?
 
Not BIS, I was not using BB when this bill was generated.

This is normal airtel live GPRS.

In the details they are saying you used facebook and airtel live. Thats why so much bill. :S
 
Forward the complaint email to Nodal Officers, and then fill up the appeal form and submit it Appellate Officers. You can more details here...

Do not know mate. Never had an airtel and a postpaid connection.
Why not pm TE user rite who never gets tired of telling how awesome airtel/failtel CC is ? :P

You can call up Airtel CC, and say you want to lodge a "complaint". They give you a ticket number, and within 24 hours your get a call back.
