Help buying an iPhone 3GS..

Guys,

A friend is coming down to India from the US in the next few days and can bring me an iPhone 3GS. I however, need to tell him where to buy it from. He usually buys his mobile phones from amazon on contracts.

I tried searching amazon for iPhone but couldn't find any. Can someone please suggest where should I ask him to buy it from for me ?

@coolcowboy. can you tell me in which city and in which locality your friend lives. I will try to point out a store that sells iphone nearby.

@desibond Its 28K vs 35k Bro. Get an unlocked one from US. My friend checked Alfa for 3GS and he was quoted 44K. Where did you get it for 35K?

Unlock is super duper easy.....save the moolah and get a locked one from bestbuy.

Yea, there is a problem with the new phones though. Hacktivation is not possible. So everytime your device powers down you need to repeat the process again.

i meant the airtel/vodafone one.
