Help choose Digital camera with 28mm lens

Hi,
looking for a good and simpple to use Digital camera, around 6-7 MP, must have 28mm lens and not the standard 35-38.

price is under 20k, should be slim if possible

yes...i did go through 4 pages out here and then i posted.

Fuji FinePix E510 Digital Camera, Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2 Digital Camera, are some of the ones. A slim with a wide angle is hard to find. I would recommend you to go for a digicam according to your liking and then get a separate wide angled lens as an attachment.
 
if by any chance u din't know about these models u might wanna have a look at these:

1) panasonic lumix dmc tz3 ( 7.2mp, 10x optical zoom, 3" lcd,28mm lens)..the downsides are its low internal memory of abt 12mb and lack of usb 2.0 support. no idea about prices here but it retails arnd 300$ in intrl markets.

2) sony cybershot dsc t100 ( 8mp, 5x opt zoom, 3" lcd, hdtv out but unfortunately its equiv to 35mm lens) superb compact cam i'd say.
 
the Panasonic looks nice...is it available in Mumbai?

The Nikon D40 looks too complicated....i need to strike a balance where my Kids can point and shoot and i can get my wide angle with simplicity!
 
Vivek .... +1 to the Nikon D40.....a pal got it last week and the pix it takes is amazing.....it has a automatic mode as well........so it doubles up as a PnS as well....
 
The panasonic one is available in jjmehta(16k without any card) and i'm sure it'd be available @alfa and heera panna for less than 15k.

if you don't mind a bulky cam, i guess D40 suits ur need perfectly.

btw, i just saw the kodak v705 on jjmehta, its also a wide angle(23mm) and has 5x opt zoom. you can check that out too. it looks pretty cool.
 
hey did u finally buy one? and which one. I'm looking at the 800IS(260$s with shipping and tax)..thinking of getting it from US thru a relative coming over to india soon.
