Storage Solutions Help choosing a External Enclosure?

Internal HDD: WD Caviar Blue 500GB
Laptop: Lenovo Z560 (It does have a eSATA port)
Budget: Rs 800

I want to convert my internal hard drive into a portable one. I did some googling around and found that i can do it with a help of a external casing (If there is easier/better alternative lemme know). I will mostly be using it as a backup and may sometime carry it along with me.

Thanks.

You can get Transcend USB 3.0 Casing at 2500 approx, else get Transcend eSata+USB 2.0 @ 1800. These are the best options. Chinese/Zippys and like comes with USB 2.0 option and occational eSata option costing from 300 to 1500 ( My opinion is to avoid them).

Please do a search on TE before posting here.

Avoid chinese ones like techcom technotek etc etc. They are priced around rs 300-800. I had one and it stopped working in 1yr (used it only twice in its lifetime

You should consider selling your hdd and buying a portable 500GB
