Hi All,

I have 4GB Corsair CM2X1024-PC6400 XMS2 RAM dual channel ram modules. yesterday My pc was not booting up and there was no beep sound either.

when I removed the graphics card and started the machine with ram only I heard 1 beep (means dram refresh failure on msi motherboards)

Now I have two sets of dual channel rams, one purchased from phoenix and second set from rahul of itwares. the set which I purchased from phoenix seems to be dead. At this moment I am able to boot the machine with 2gb ram of rahul. if I put the 2gb from phoenix, the system wont boot. I also checked if the ram slots on mobo are faulty. but 2gb ram works fine on all modules.

The ram has 10years warranty and I stay in hyderabad. now How do I get the warranty from corsair? can anyone help me?

tia,

One of my Corsair XMS CM2X2048 6400C5 rams bought from one of the dealers (other than those mentioned) was dead on arrival. He replaced the same but again it was dead. All this happened months back and I didn't care much. Now that the RAM prices are soaring high, I wanted to RMA it. I applied directly to Corsair and they have accepted and asked me to-
"Please also mark the RMA number clearly on your package, and ship your RMA to the following address:

Attn: RMA Department
Corsair Memory, Inc. 46221 Landing Parkway
Fremont, CA 94538
Phone 510-657-8747"
Now please tell me
1.Won't it be costly to send it to USA
2.Will I get replacement here in India using the Corsair RMA number?
3. Is there possibility that the module is fake?

There is a Kaizen infotech in Pune.. so there should be someone local in your place too.. just search around.

I guess you should contact your dealer, he would help you claim warranty.

Do not contact Corsair USA for warranty. They will always give u a USA address :P Contact Corsair India or the distributor for that kit for guidance.

Dear Sir,
Please call at Corsair Toll free NO. 1800-4255464 from BSNL landline. You will get the necessary information regarding support & solution.
Thanks & Regards

Corsair India

hey i have had experience with corsair's service center----kaizen infoserve---google it and search for your city.

i had to replace my flash voyager pen drive---it took me only 2 minutes--i went to the service center with my dead pen drive and the bill --the lady at the desk took a look at my bill and gave me a brand new pen drive--no questions asked-this is their policy for replacement!!

guess it would be the same for any other corsair product.

The dealer (of both the forums) reluctantly replaced the module which too was DOA. And he never gave any bill for these rams or anything else bought from him!
