Disciple
I want to assemble a PC for home use :- Budget without monitor, KB & Mouse (Rs.20,000) - can stretch a bit.

1) AMD Athlon II -X4 -620 or better with similar price range (with onboard graphics)
2) Mother Board with good/prompt service (with capability to add graphics card in FUTURE) (ASUS/ Biostar / Gigabyte / MSI)

Preferred :
• Sideport memory
• HDMI/DVI connectivity (to connect LCD-TV to the PC)
• IDE support (to connect old HDD – not very important)
• Card reader etc..
• Blue tooth support

3) Zebronics Bizli Cabinet (model number) - how many fans inside needed ?
4) Power Supply unit (what make and number)
5) Western Digital Blue 500 GB HDD (Model number)
6) Kingston DDR-III (frequency ??? 1333/1600) Ram.
7) DVD – Combo LG/Samsung

Applications that I will use :

Windows 7 / XP ( 64 bit version) , MS Office and simple games such as need for speed etc..

The above is what I collected from this site! Please suggest the suitable config including processor. Indicative prices.

All material will be purchased (in person) from Lamington Road Mumbai.
Thanks in advance.

Card reader, bluetooth ? Are you going to assemble a laptop or what ?. Do we have desktop motherboards with card reader and bluetooth onboard , ???

Thanks for your replies.
@sumit05:
Whether the GPU: XFX ATI 4850 512MB DDRIII - 6.3k is required ? the mobo you mentioned would not have any onboard graphics capability at all ?

Are there any issues with Gigabyte mobos regarding after sales support etc..!

@anfjavid:
The very fact I typed card reader etc,, makes it clear I don't know whether these things are attached to Mobos or not.

Config 1:X4 620 - 5200
gigabyte 785 MUD 2H - 5700
CM Elite 310 - 1500
Gigabyte 460w smps - 2200
kingston DDR3-1333 2GB - 2500
WD Blue or Seagate 7200.12 series HDD - 2500

OR
Config 2:
Phenom II X3 720 - 6300
(without GPU as mentioned by sumit05 in one of replies above)

REST AS ABOVE

Can you please help me decide on the above 2 configs. Do I need to buy anything else like CPU fans etc or simply buying the above will do (ofcourse KB, Mouse and monitor -i will us old ones) ?

Thanks in advance.

Gigabyte motherboard's are great. As far I know no issues about after sales support.

All the 785 Series motherboards have good onboard graphics which can play HD smoothly and some games too at medium settings.

If you don't need graphics card go for Config 1. Otherwise if want serious gaming then go for Config 2.

In Config 1, I would like to change the motherboard to Gigabyte 785GMT-UD2H(As suggested by Sumit05

You don't need to buy anything else. There is everything you need is mentioned in Config 1.

Here is the configuration that you require:

Processor: AMD AthlonII X4-620(2.6GHz, 4 cores) - 5k OR Phenom II X3 720 - 6300

Motherboard: Biostar TA785GE 128M - 3.7k (HD 4200 onboard; 128MB Sideport memory; PCI Ex 2.0 16x graphics card slot)

RAM: Corsair 2GB DDR2 800MHz XMS2 - 2.3k

GPU: Sapphire ATI 4850 1GB - 6.7k

HDD: WD Blue 500GB SATAII - 2.5k

Cabinet: Zebronics Bijli ATX - 1.1k OR NZXT GAMMA (has loads of space; bottom mounted PSU; front loading HDD bay)- 2k

PSU: Corsair VX 450W - 4k

You can also get a DDRIII based setup for 1.5k more.

Motherboard: ECS A785GM-M - 4.7k OR MSI 785GM-E51 -4.6k

RAM: 2GB Kingston DDRIII - 2.4k
