i need to start a site for my work. i needed some help and this was the best place to start off eh. im into the clothing line and want to advertise and sell online as well. can anyone help out with website hosting and domain and designing costs involved. i want it to be a minimal affair really so let me know

Since you'll just be running an ecom site, you dont need much space. But get at least 500 mb keeping future capacity in mind. Also register a good domain name through any site like godaddy.
As for the site design, there are many free cms like OpenCart - Open Source Shopping that focus on e-commerce. The best idea would be to deploy it, and configure it according to your requirement. Also, since its gonna be an online shop, you will need a ssl certificate, which you can get with your domain host itself.
