help for upgarding from free website

maybe this is a noob question

i made a website at weebly.com for a non-profit organization of which i am a member

now we wish to get a proper domain possibly with .org.in (is available i checked)

what's the best way to go about it?

Someone said i have to pay for the domain name on per year basis PLUS some extra cost for webhosting !!!!????

I have simply no idea who is the best provider for a low vol low traffic site.

PS: also strangely .org.in costs LESS than .org !!

call some yahoo office.. they can provide some low price options for your purpose.. and it will even be easy to keep updating your website as and when you wish.. one of my family member is using web hosting from yahoo.. hes quite satisfied.. check it up..

The quality of service depends on how much you are willing to spend. Anything around 1.5k to 2k will provide good hosting +domain for a year.

2)If you just want to buy a domain name, you can get it from http://www.mitsu.in/ for Rs.79 for the 1st year. They give you 10mb of hosting space if you want it with each new registration. If your sites basic it may be enough.

You can buy the domain name for 10 years if you want. Or renew it every year.

The advantage of buying it for 10 years is that you get todays rate for 10 years. And you don't need to worry about renewing it every year.

The advantage of buying it for 1 year is that you can see if your website works, and if it doesn't you can choose not to renew and save a bit of cash.

A .org is a second level domain name, and sometimes comes at a premium compared to third level domain names such as org.in or co.in.
