AMD Dual Core 4400+(being sold on this forum by Vishruth. Checkthe market section).

A DFI expert mobo which is soon to be released.

A 7800GTX 512 MB(around 42K).

2 GB Crucial Ballistix (go to http://www.crucial.com/ .They ship to india as well.).

A Creative X-fi

Creative Megaworks 5.1 550 or Logitech Z-5500Digital speakers.

Eh... get an ATI X1900XTX instead. Right now its the single fastest card. Crucial ballistix 2x1GB kit is no longer available. It's been EOL'ed. No need to get a second hand proccy when you have such a nice budget. Otherwise what nikhil suggested is pretty nice. As far as cooler is concerned, do you wish to go watercooling? If not, then import a thermalright SI120/Scythe Ninja. If you wanna watercool, look at www.dangerden.com. They have pretty nice kits.

But if you are not able to import stuff?? In that case go for a 7800GTX 512 or if available an X1900XTX.

Well you have a very good budget however I wont suggest that you go ahead with your plan...
Getting the state of the art equipment is awesome performance and a good brag but that way you are spending way more than you should on something.
What I suggest is that you get some hardware which is awesome for a year. That way you save lots of money from your 1.15L which you can put in some kinda fixed deposit for a year or so. Then later after a year you can upgrade again to the latest hardware which is not outrageously expensive.
This way you can make your investment last much more than just 2.5 years.

I am not here to discourage your plans just suggesting something reasonable which you might not have considered. But then for hardware geeks heart rules over the mind.

I totally agree with ren on this... No Point spending a fortune on a Gfx card/Proccy when we all know we will be outdated within a years time... Instead buy a 7800 GTX 256/X1800XT and a 3700+/4000+ if single core or a X2 4400+ if wanna go dual core.... Get an ASUS SLI Premium board and add the second 7800 GTX 256 later down the year or next year... You still end up saving cash...

Also peeps suggesting X1900XT and 7800GTX 512 care to explain the combination with a 17" Monitor which only does 1280... Dont you think those cards are overkill for that moniter...

Well X1900XT is already available at less than MRP prices. No point going for a X1800XT cos the max difference in price is gonna be 50$. 256MB cards are gonna be a bottleneck soon. Since he plans to overclock, a DFI board is a better deal than asus.

I think he should stick with a 7800GTX 512, as its available in India.

Rashi Peripherals should give it to you for 40k after a lil' bargaining.

Go with Vishruths AMD 4400+, its an awesome price. Hes giving it for 22k i think.

DFI Lanparty SLI-DR, if you cant wait for the Expert Series of mobo's to come.

2GB RAM is a must now.

Um, i heard that the 2GB Crucial Ballistix Kit (1GB*2), gets spoilt at higher Voltages.

Id say go with an OCZ if you can, from www.frozencpu.com.

Duty will be 10% but its worth it.

Go with an awesome cabinet with good air flow.

Antec's the choice here.

Antec TP2550W Power Supply. Its the best here.

LOL look at those prices :P. Its daylight robbery. 499$ for 2x1GB PC4000 gold :P. That kit sells for 230-240$ everywhere else :\. After all its samsung UCCC which is available in india as well.

^^ thats right ..... but aren't ballistix sticks are discountinued now anyway here some ram comparison that will help u http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2676

anyways i will say stick to locak stuff if u want warranty ..... if u don't care then its ok ....

PS: Chaos please remove the desknote from ur sig or u will be robbed someday by me its too tempting .... :D

Try getting the OCZ 1GB x 2...

Also I agree with Ren, and I suggest you sell off your 17" LCD and get a 19" atleast

Yup... ballistix ain't available any more. However buying ocz from frozencpu is crazy cos their prices are ridiculous. The platinum series based on infineon is quite good. If those can be had for a 300'ish price, its great. However I'd definitely not recommend the 4000 gold based on UCCC unless you can get it for 230-240$. Its better to just buy twinmos/transcend uccc in india instead.

@Anish: He won't have any use of that 19" other than staring at bigger pixels cos no 19" does more than 1280x1024, which is the same as a 17" :P

^^Depends on what you call small. I don't find 1920x1200 on a 17" small and find 1280 on a 19" gigantic :P.

Hehe for LCDs, the refresh rate doesnt really mean anything. Most LCDs allow 75Hz at 1280. 19" or 17", no diff.
