Heya Folks

Im in need of a system guys, im gonna order a x1950Pro AGP from Newegg through KMD(not yet Finalised) and im thinking of upgrading my
2.4ghz P4+865GBF MOBO to an AMD X2 with any mobo with AGP slot. as i already have RAM i neednt worry about that. any way this'll be upgrade for a coupla years till i finish my college, is this better

or should i go for E4300+650i and a PCI-e GFX for 10k the total i can spend is 20k give or take 2. but thats about it, so what do u guys suggest. if its the later do suggest me a config for 20k or something
CPU+MOBO(with OC features) + GFX + RAM. thanks guys.

can u give me the pricing of a C2d setup with in 20k man? that would be helpfull for me to decide. even if its a dx9 gfx(even seconhand deals no problem)

Investing in AGP right now is not advisable. It's been phased out by the faster PCI-Express, and remember, PCI-Express cards are cheaper than their AGP brethren.

I'd suggest E4400 + Biostar P35 + 2 GB DDR2-667 + EVGA 8800 GTS 320 MB. If you're getting it through newegg, it's wise to go for the 320 megger because I saw the price for the EVGA version as 250$ after rebate, which works out to 10k.

The total works out to - 5k for the proccy, 5k for the motherboard,, 3.8k for the RAM, and 10k for the card if you do get it from newegg. Totals to about 23.5k or somewhere around there, should perform well in gaming.

Although, please make sure you have an adequate power supply if you do get the 8800 GTS. :D

but that would cost me 25k and then i have to get monitor and stuff guys.

so for how long will DX9 be on the line?

i yet dont wanna upgrade to a completely new system, dont find the use for it except Games and HD. Arghhhh im confused.
