Hi All;
I am putting together a new computer for a friend which also will contain the new ATI 2900XT.The config is as follows:

C2D E4300(Will be overclocked)
Asus P5B deluxe or Gigabyte DS-3(NO IDEAS HERE TOO)
2 GB OCZ RAM 800Mhz
500GB Samsung HDD
NEC DVD R/W
2900XT
AeroCool ExtremEngine 3T:huh:
I have chosen almost all the components except the PSU and case.I have short listed 5 of them but cant decide which one to buy. Also from a forum I read that for X2900XT it needed a 6 pin connector for maximum performance. It would be nice to know if they have the necessary connector for it.

The PSUS shortlisted is as below:

Thermaltake Silent PurePower 480W
Cooler Master iGreen 600W Power Supply
Hiper Type R HPU-4K580-MU, 580W
Silentmaxx 580W IC-Tech, 580W
Xion PowerReal XON-600F14T-201 ATX12V V.2.01 600W Power Supply

What would be the better one.Silence and compatibility to new graphics card (tho no SLi) is preferred.

As for the case the current idea is to get a AeroCool ExtremEngine 3T with big fans and fan controller. Is it worh it for the price or is it better to do a water cooling for a cheap water cooler around that price?

Have a nice day:hap2:

in any case u need to pay atleast Rs. 2000 for a normal case...so the difference stands at only Rs. 2500, reviews for the case are good, cheap water cooler like aquagate mini that comes for Rs. 3500 are almost ineffective, it got beaten by a xp90....price i believe would turn around same for both the setups...
AeroCool ExtremEngine 3T + a good CPU fan(i am not talking about top of the line) = Rs. 4500 + Rs. 1000

Decent case + water cooler = Rs. 2000 + Rs. 3500

Benefit for the case is that it will cool other components on your system as well. Rest depends on your own preference.

Ya its true.Looks like I should go for air cooling for the moment than water cooling.May be water cooling for the next PC.
