Help in formatting Nokia 5610..

Can any one tell me the way to full format N 5610. Similar to *,3,dial way to s60. Or other.

use *#7370# this will hard rest the device to factory setting

I've tried that but it only restores the settings to default. But it does not format the phone. I will be more than thankful if you tell me a way.

more over...It is the code for s60. 5610 is s40v5

How abt updating the firmware of ur phone ??(i am not sure this is going to format or not ..but u get hassel free phone with the latest software)..

You can't format the phone memory though you can re install the firmware . The code *#7370# restores the only factory settings. Upgrade using this link:

I dont think there is a way to format S40 phones...:|

The reason for formating the phone is it has become sooooooo lazy.It boots up for decades and if you go to the music player you can go and come back from picnic to see the songs list. All this in a half filled 1gb card.

Ya... I'm going to upgrade the firmware on your advice. I'll post the result if i see any improvement.
