Help - installation problems with some softwares in WIN XP

i am unable to install a few softwares...as it is giving wierd errors during installation...i have attached screenshots and more info..plzz help me solve this if u have any kinda sollution...

first problem :

DAEMON TOOLS ...

i have tried both the old and the new version of daemon tool boht give the following error message :

SPTD SETUP

failed to open config key .



second problem :

Diskeeper prefoessional

can not start sevice

(i have checked..with the services.msc ..but i am unable to start the service from there too ..)

i get following error message when starting from services.msc

COULD NOT START SERVICE ON LOCAL COMPUTER

error 1062 :the service could not be started

Got it to work! I went through all the steps that didn't work with me in 4.0 and this time they worked. I installed in safemode without loading SPTD drivers(hit esc). Restarted back into safemode continued with installation and everything just worked after that.
