HELP - iPOD Questions/Doubts

I have few Questions/Doubts on (120 GB Classic),

1 - How to create folder in iPOD ? I need something like this - Hindi Songs > Hindi Movies > 1990 > QSQT

2 - Which wall charger is good for 120 GB Classic ? (Original Apple / something on Ebay) -

3 - Can silver front panel (change to black panel) & Steel back panel of iPOD be changed ? If yes how & where ?

4 - Is there any WORKING method to remove scratches from back steel plate ? Google Says - Toothpaste ? Any real life experience ?

5 - Which Casing & screen protector for 120 GB iPOD ? Casing MUST provide shock proof facility incase of dropping of iPOD

6 - If there is still 6 months warranty left then under what condition/damage will apple center give brand new iPOD (not repair) ? I have seen lots of people getting Brand New iPOD without any questions ? Real life exp please.

When the ipod shows up as a disk you can go in and create folders and copy files. Use it exactly like a portable hard disk. But If you wish to listen to songs you will have to keep the files through itunes and not as you are tying to do.

It's best to go with original charger since there was a case here on TE of someone's shuffle going dead after charging it through chinese made ipod charger.

I doubt this can be done but I do know you can get decals put on the ipod over the default.

4 - Is there any WORKING method to remove scratches from back steel plate ? Google Says - Toothpaste ? Any real life experience ?

Use your brains here. IF you scratch a cd and then rub it with toothpaste do you think the scratches will be gone? Once scratched theres no going back. you can just clean it with a soft cloth with spirit once a while. (best is to keep it in a case so it doesn't get scratched in the first place.)

Look around in ebay I would suggest a sturdy rubber casing which should provide plenty of anti shock. If you are like I am you will never drop your ipod.

6 - If there is still 6 months warranty left then under what condition/damage will apple center give brand new iPOD (not repair) ? I have seen lots of people getting Brand New iPOD without any questions ? Real life exp please.

I don't have a real life experience here but as far as I know if under warranty and ipod goes completely dead. (eg. click of death or big red x and not starting up) they replace the ipod.

Actually, this works. Toothpaste acts as an abrasive, and if it is small scratches, the area around the scratch is worn down and it looks newish again.
 
Can someone light up this Q

sure, let me find my torch first.:P

on a more serious note, usually when they are unable to repair the ipod, they replace it. the reason could be that they either cant repair it, or dont have the parts. i have seen a lot of ipods being replaced in the case of hard disk failure.

Thanks buddy,

I use Floola, its way better then iTunes. Created playlist on it & works fine as I wanted.

People what kind of iPOD casing do you use ?
