Help me choosing 5.1 Speaker

Hi Guys,
Need to buy a good 5.1 speaker with budget around 3-3.5k. How are Altec Lansing VS3251E and Artis S-5500R? Which one sounds good for gaming, movies? I don't want to buy 2.1 speakers.

raise your budget at least to 5k and take creative 5.1 and altech lansing is also a good choice for 5.1 purpose even i say purchase creative 5.1 and later buy a sound card xi-fi of creative and u will be on the 13 sky kill all neighbours by its sound :ohyeah:

u havnt really searched for the best set to blow away ur neighbours...

get the logitech Z5300 if u may find it...
or the Logitech Z5500 for the ultimate revenger :)
 
@Dingemini : Kindly look at his budget first.

@Coolworld: Can you raise the budget by another 300 and get the creative T6060? Best VFM ImHO, had these for a year, they are really musical at that price point.
 
at your budget (3~3.5k) you're better off with 2.1's even at the 5k region, the 5.1 speakers available are only as good as 2k 2.1 speakers :P
