PC Peripherals help me in choosing a (mobo+ processor)

i m planning to buy a motherboard + processor
i have a budget of 8 k (cant exceed it)

the motherboard should have onboard graphics (will buy a graphics card later)

and i dnt plan to overclock it either

intel or amd anything will do.

also if possible give me the mumbai prices(lamington road)

and suggest a good psu for arnd 1.5k

guys plz help. waiting for u r suggestions

Well at 8k your options are rather limited !

Option 1 :
---------------
AMD X2 4000 +
Asus M2A-VM (ATI690G,V,16x,8Ch,S )= 3500/-
or,
ASUS M2NBP-VM CSM (Quadro,V,16x, 6Ch S)= 4100/-

or any ATi 690 G/V or nNIDIA 6100/6150 based mobo

Option 2 :
---------------
Conroe C2D 2.0Ghz ,800 MHz,2MB ,LGA : 5K
Intel D945G (945G,S,L,16x,1066 MHz) :3300 /-

Or,

Gigabyte GA-945-MRZ (945G,S,L,16xPCX ) :2750 /-

but if you can find then go foe 946 chipset based mobo if it fits in your budget

which is better performance wise

which PSU is better VIP or enterage (arnd 1.5k)

If brand conscious, go for Asus, its better. However I think Jetway is cheap.

He isnt going to overclock. So its best he gets the best possible AMD cpu+mobo combo that he can afford. Simple!

I think we need to check if he is going to use his older ram. If it's DDR or DDR2. That would dictate the new build.

errr..no use getting a motherboard with DDR RAM nowadays....assuming u can find one that is.

DDR2 is a minimum.

hi guys since my budget is only 7-8K n since the intel C2D e4300 is not available at lamington road.

i will have to go with the AMD mobo + processor combo

n suggest me a graphics card for arnd 3K

will i be able to play all the new games like (crysis, half life 2 , nfs series ) at low / mediun settings

n plz suggest me a good PSU for arnd 1.5k

is a 400 watt PSU enough to support a system having

2 HDD

2optical drives

and 2-3 cabinet fans

Should be Easy to choose,Go with a MB with AMD690 and u will be able to play games at low settings, and fit a AMD processor for ur budget.. That all u need to do.
