I am currently on Airtel Broadband (Cable Line) and planning to shift to Reliance Wimax If you can help me decide whether to go for Reliance Wimax it will be great.

Issues with Airtel Broadband (Cable Line)
I am using this Broadband for almost 7-8 months now and didnt have any complaints for the first 2-3 months but after that it became a headache on and off to this date. Firstly there was Ping related issues, then upload issues and recently they over charged us mistakenly. I mean in short i dont like to stick with Airtel Broadband anymore.

Reliance Wimax is charging the same (1500/- incl taxes) Unlimited (Without FUP as far as I Know can anybody confirm this the CC dept is really dumb on this) Speed is 600Kbs

Is it worth going to this or should I consider something else but only need a complete wireless solution just as Wimax is ?

Thanks.

Hope they have told you about the static IP, which they'll provide. I somehow feel, they are bundling the static IP charges, but saying the total cost. If compared against wireline, cable and wireless offers from ISP, 1500/- can fetch you around 1Mbps unlimited.

You are right about the charges I am paying 1500/- for 1Mbps Unlimited line without a FUP. Dont know about the Static IP but most probably they wont bundle it as these companies always charge extra for that. But anyway any one using Reliance Wimax should I switch to it or not.

I have used tata wimax for an year & it is not completely wireless as one need to connect pc to the wimax receiver through lan cable. Although not sure about reliance.
The speed was decent & no downtime.

Yeah thats fine connecting the Wimax to the computer with a Lan cable etc since the problem I face with Lan cable is that it comes through intermediaries and Wimax would be sort of a direct connection between the ISP and the client (Me)
