Thinking of getting this digicam from usa via Kmd how is the performance of the camera let me know so any other better performing camera than this one in the same price range.

Yes apart from a the manual controls, it is pretty good. You might also want to check out TZ5, more expensive but better.

it depends on your needs... not i wont go on to reccomend a super-zoom prosumer like the fz-18 because i dont think you want it

maybe you could say what you are looking for in the camera, and whether you want to try out full manual features and take it up as a sort of hobby

I would always prefer a Cannon one for a digital camera. They are the best.

Nikon would be my second option.

Not sure how good the panasonic one is.

panasonic is just as good...and its leica lenses perform rather well in the budget range

you can also look at the canon sx100 or if you want to spend more, then the ixus series from canon
