Graphic Cards help me plz...x1800xt 512mb vs x1900xt ?

a 512MbX1800XT vs 2gb+7600Gt which do u guyz think is better?The 7600GT won't be much of a difference from my OC'ed 6800GS anyway(maybe 10% max.)

Yup, a 7600GT aint much of an upgrade over the 6800GS. A X1800XT sounds like a much better deal..

Btw, if you can wait long enough, try for the X1900GT which is speculated to debut @ 299$ and could be even unlockable..

Interestingly the 6800GS was the first GF6-7 "hybrid",a GF6 core on a GF7 PCB(in this case the 7800GT!).

The life span of the gpu is not something I'm worried about.

I will most probably be upgrading around Jan-Feb next year.

What I am worried about is the difference between the 2 & wether it is worth spending the extra $135-140 ?

Is there any place other than tom's hardware where I can see benchmark results compared.

or...some sort of x1800xt 512mb vs x1900xt review that anyone knows of ?

Undertaker , not interested in 7900GT ?? no use going for 7600GT when u already have a cool 256-bit 6800GS . the difference is meagre . 7600gt scores only because of its high clock speed , nothing else . also its efficient 7 series chipset . keep waiting lol . best wait till June .

Well dude, you got money then get X1900XT, it makes sense in getting the best of the time when you can....

Hehe R520 and R580. The only diff between them is the number of shader processors. Otherwise exactly the same.

I dont know who the hell is hellboy , but I do know 7600gt is available and I advised you to wait till June if possible ,u may have more choices of graphics card to choose from . I am going to sue you :tongue: . this is broar94 not techboy :S . How much is the differnce between the x1800xt 256 MB and 512 MB? The 256 MB one was selling for ~$280 on Newegg, great deal. But if the 512 MB one dosent cost much more then definitely the 512 MB.
