Help me select new ADSL2 + WiFi router for BSNL BB

I would like following features in that:
  1. Priced under 2.5K
  2. ADSL2 + WiFi with very good range for my double storied house.
  3. 150 Mb/s + speeds.
  4. DD-WRT (Optional)
I have selected Asus DSL-N10E and TP Link TD-W8968.
I have heard 8968 has some problems with firmware.
What is difference between so many different versions from TP Links which are almost equally priced like 10 samsung craps within 5k to 5.1K?
 
TP Link TD-W8968 ver 3 has got a dummy antenna port.
It basically is running signals on via single antenna which is 5 dbi.

If you can, source a pre owned ver 2 unit (via olx etc)
 
2750u's range is 30% better than the tp-link. It covered 3 floors + parking and terrace at very low signal. Placed in the middle ofcourse.[DOUBLEPOST=1431424859][/DOUBLEPOST]I returned it though cause my bsnl connection had problems with it.

So what do you suggest, should I go with 2750u or not as I will also be using bsnl connection.?
 
Depends on your connection. If it works fine, go for it. Buy from Amazon or Flipkart so that if it doesnt work properly you can return in 4-5 days.
 
Quick update that I just ordered a TPLINK model TD-W8968 off Amazon.in this weekend for Rs. 1600/- and it reached today - which looks to be "version 4" and the data sheet on their website says "2 x 5 dBi" - so does that mean its not a dummy antenna and both are functioning? I seem to be getting decent signal all over my bungalow (placed it on the upper floor).

Try removing one antenna and switch ports of other antenna and see whether you continue to get signal. If you are able to get signal with only one antenna in both cases, there is no dummy antenna.

Try with just one each antenna other removed. Use wifi analyzer on android and post screens.
 
I had the v3 for short span before i returned it. The modem froze whenever is used torrents i.e. torrents kept working but all other devices internet wouldn't work.
