Hi friends, i want to install linux mint inside windows, i know the procedure using mint4win.exe, i have tried that, but when i restart my system i am greeted with this error

busybox x1.15.3 (Ubuntu 1:1.15.3-1ubuntu5) built in sheu(ash)
(initramfs)Hibernate non-system partition;refused to mount
failed to mount '/dev/sd1':operation not permitter
The NTFS partition is hibernated. Please resume and shutdown windows

Now i tried to install in on C-drive (1st HDD with win 7 pre-installed) and also on D-drive (2nd HDD with XP pre-installed), in both the case i am greeted with this error even when i have properly shutdown my window OS. I have also tried disabling windows hibernate option.

Linux gurus please help me out. TIA

As far as I know, they discontinued the Mint4Win development a long time ago since it created a lot of problems and crashed a lot.

You sure Mint4Win is compatible with the version of Mint that you are installing?

And I would suggest a clean install of Linux on a separate partition any day.

^thanks mate for your reply, BTW i used mint2win that came within the Linux Mint 10 image. And yes it is totally compatible and ow i am happily running Linux mint :)
The problem was that there was a hiberfil.sys in the System Reserved partition, due to which the grub installer assumed that my windows was not shutdown properly and something is wrong. After doing lots of research, i found the problem and promptly deleted that file, and lunixmint got installed without any further issues :)
