My hcl pc is giving me smps problem . . I have old pc with good smps . . I want to know if i can just change the smps and also the cpu case of the hcl comp with the old com of mine . .will there be any problem in doing so . .
Ok . . Thanks for the reply . . One more question . . Will there be any problem if i have to change the mobo from amd to intel c2d for the same cpu . . Meaning i take out the amd mobo and replace it with intel one in the same cpu case . . Is that possible . . not to worry i ll buy all the other parts like procy ram etc . . Just that i want to keep my cpu case . . Rest changed
Well I have used many branded system and seriously all are not worth it and HCL stands out and provides an uper version of pathetic systems..
The systems are so designed to provide least expandability options.. They might list better processor but they cripple the system with cheap and low end boards.. If its is under warranty I would say sell the whole CPU and get a new one... BTW what are the specs of your HCL PC ? Is it beanstank or easybee ?

No you cannot install Intel CPU in AMD boards and vice versa..Both have different socket and architectures/principle on which they work..So you need to sell both the processor and motherboard if you want to get a new one..
What is the budget in which you want to get a new cabinate and smps..
AFAIK even removing the factory seal void the warranty if done by a third person except a HCL representative.. So if you have warranty left sell the CPU if not get an upgrade
